Gold medalist Miltos Tentoglou in the long jump!
With a jump at 8.41m in his last attempt, the legendary Miltos achieved his best performance and raised the Greek flag up high! Miltos became the second Greek athlete in the history of the Olympic Games to win a gold medal in the long jump.
Bronze Olympian Lefteris Petrounias in the rings!
With a shocking effort, Lefteris Petrounias won the bronze medal in the final of the rings! In a very demanding final and having already outdone himself so as to qualify for the Tokyo Olympics, Lefteris once again made us proud by winning his second Olympic medal, after the Gold he had won in Rio!
5th place for Kristian Gkolomeev in the 50m. Freestyle Swimming!
The march of Christian Golomev at the Olympic Games has been brought to an end with the 5th place in the final of the 50m Freestyle Swimming. The 28-year-old swimmer made history, matching the 5th place taken by Spyros Gianniotis in the 1,500m. Freestyle back in 2004, while suggesting the only Greek who has competed in a final of the Olympic Games outside Athens.
5th place for Bourbou – Kyridou in the final of Rowing Women’s Pair!
The stunning effort of Christina Bourbou and Maria Kyridou ended with the 5th place in the final of Rowing Women’s Pair at the Olympic Games. The two 20-year-old girls in their first appearance at the Olympic Games managed to land in the top 6 of the competition against much more experienced pairs and finished 5th, having previously in the semifinals broken the world record with 6: 48.70!
6th place was taken for the Golden Olympian of Rio, Anna Korakaki!
After an excellent effort, our Anna Korakaki finished 6th in the final of 10m shooting air rifle as well as in the final of 25m. A solid performance for the first athlete who won two Gold medals in the same Olympics.
9th place for Vassileia Karachaliou in Sailing!
The 9th place in the radial category was taken by our sailing champion! A great position and pride for Vasiliki at her first appearance at the Olympic Games.
10th place for Anneta Kyridou in Women’s Rowing!
Anneta Kyridou completed her simple skiff final 10th in the overall ranking among the 32 rowers in the Olympic Tournament. A successful participation for the 22-year-old Anneta in her first Olympic Games!
The National Men’s Water Polo Team won the Silver Olympic Medal!
The National Water Polo team made history, and despite losing 10-13 to Serbia, won its first silver Olympic medal in history during the final at the Tokyo Olympics.
