The Women’s Water Polo National Team is heading to Paris with another medal in hand.

The Women’s Water Polo National Team defeated Italy in the small final of the European Championship in Eindhoven, with a score of 7-6, marking another significant success.

In addition to the 13th medal in a major competition, a unique achievement was secured: participation in the Olympic Games in Paris next summer.

This marks the first occasion where the Greek women’s water polo team secured a bronze medal in a European Championship, having previously earned 4 silver medals. This journey of distinctions across various competitions commenced in August 2004 in Athens, where they achieved a 2nd place finish.

Moreover, Greece will have a double representation at the Paris La Défense Arena in the suburbs of the French capital, as qualification has already been secured by the men’s team.

As a result, Alexia Kammenou and Theodoris Vlahos, coaching their respective teams, will have the opportunity to contribute to an even greater presence for Greek water polo in the world’s foremost sporting event.

Stoiximan’s unwavering support for the Water Polo National Teams remains consistent, ensuring that the undeniable athletic talent possessed by our country continues to shine, with accolades multiplying from one tournament to the next.
