Teacher Training Program for Fostering Mental Health in the School Community
Teachers are on the front line of school life every day. They support, listen, guide and are often called upon to manage complex and demanding situations. By supporting teachers, we support the entire school community and each individual child.
Through this new initiative, we are investing in prevention and in empowering the people who shape the school environment every day. In collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports, and with “Together for Children” as the implementing partner through its Counseling Center, we are supporting teachers in building healthier relationships and effectively addressing bullying.

During the 2026–2027 school year, with exclusive funding from Stoiximan, 1,200 teachers in Athens and other regions of Greece will participate in a series of psychoeducational seminars and workshops, strengthening their ability to respond to the challenges of modern school life.
The topics covered include addressing school bullying, anger and delinquent behavior during adolescence, exam- and performance-related anxiety, children’s relationship with the internet, teachers’ psychological resilience, and effective communication between parents and teachers. Participants will also have access to Together for Children’s free counseling helpline, 11525, for additional support.
By building a safer, more inclusive and more supportive school environment, we give every child the opportunity to learn and grow with confidence.
