BIOGRAPHY

George Pilidis was born in Athens on January 21, 2000 and competes in the 65 kg category in Wrestling. Pildis is the holder of 8 medals at the World and European Junior Championships, a record yet to be broken by another freestyle wrestler.

The gold medal in the 2022 U23 World Wrestling Championships in Belgrade has been his greatest career moment. Additionally, he managed to qualify for Tokyo Olympics Games after a sole appearance, when he stepped injured into the ring of World Wrestling Olympic Qualification Tournament in Sofia, in May 2021.
