BIOGRAPHY
Born in Volos on March 25, 1988, he is 1.71m tall and weighs 83kg. He made history when he became the first Greek to win the gold medal at the Track Cycling World Championship. He has an impressive resume, with many awards not only in domestic but also in international competitions. He is the Greek Champion, while also holding 9 national records (200m -9.824, 1000m-1.00.743).
In 2011 he won the World Cup in Kazakhstan and in 2017 he won 2nd place in the same event, this time in England. The Greek cyclist, who is part of the Cycling Team Volos, has also represented Greece four times at the Olympic Games (2008, 2012, 2016, 2020), gaining worldwide recognition.
Christos proved once again that he is the top Greek cyclist and one of the best in the world, when he switched from Keiring to the complex Omnium race type in 2017, as well as the Points Race, Scratch and Madison races. His greatest success came in 2019 with the two gold medals at the European Games in Minsk in the Point Race and Scratch events.
